Back online for its second run, the Industrial Management Engineering Society of De La Salle
University is proud to present ERGONEERING 2021: Innovation in an Ever-Changing World.
Keep up to date with the latest practices in the fields of Engineering and Ergonomics as the event offers opportunities to learn from the applications of this knowledge in the industry. With the goal of empowering the industry engineers and leaders of the future, the theme centers on creating designs that meet the demands of the world’s evolving and rapidly changing environment.
ERGONEERING 2021 is the annual flagship event hosted and organized by the Industrial Management Engineering Society (IMES) and the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society of the Philippines (HFESP) that brings together aspiring Industrial Engineers from the Philippines and around Southeast Asia. Delving into the best and latest practices in the industry, participants can expect to gain insights on the application of Ergonomics in designing products that meet the dynamic needs of the post-pandemic world. Set to launch on the 27th and 28th of August 2021, the event will be streamed via Zoom and Facebook Live and will feature a product design competition on Day 1 and a series of webinars on Day 2.
With the theme Innovation in an Ever-Changing World, Day 1 of ERGONEERING 2021 challenges its participants to exercise their ingenuity and breach their limits in the product design competition. Teams of students will present their designs before a panel of judges as they vie to create products that best address the event’s theme. This also poses the rare opportunity to receive insights from leading figures of different fields.
In true Industrial Engineering fashion, Day 2 of ERGONEERING 2021 continues to push the boundaries of innovation and connects future engineers with established industry leaders through talks designed to prepare them for the challenges of tomorrow. This year’s roster of distinguished speakers does not disappoint as outstanding individuals such as Dr. Lakhwinder Singh, Dr. Stephen Poon, Mr. Rey Soliven, and Dr. Rosemary Seva discuss a broad spread of topics covering AI driven design, design in the context of the Philippines, and effective design.
