The University of the Philippines Academic League of Chemical Engineering Students, Inc. (UP ALCHEMES) proudly presents Research Fair 2025, its flagship and premier research event, on January 16-18, 2025, at the University of the Philippines Diliman. Now in its 24th year, Research Fair 2025 invites all bona fide high school students to hone their potential to lead in scientific and technological innovation under the theme “GOLCONDA: Polishing the Innovative Facets of the Filipino Youth.”
Research Fair will feature three signature sub-events: the Research Competition, the National Science Conquest, and the Youth Science Convention. The Research Competition offers a platform for participants to showcase diverse research projects. The National Science Conquest challenges participants’ knowledge and skills in a quiz-bee-type competition. Meanwhile, the Youth Science Convention features talks, workshops, and a Case Study Competition tackling solutions to the ecological impacts of mining.
This year also marks the return of the YSC Lab Tours, last held in 2020. Participants will gain exclusive access to some of the country's top research laboratories, where they can observe groundbreaking advancements and gain insights to inspire their future-shaping innovations.
Since its inception in 2001, Research Fair has empowered countless young minds. Recognized as one of the Ten Accomplished Youth Organizations (TAYO) in 2016, UP ALCHEMES continues its mission to champion the potential of Filipino youth to drive progress, shape the present, and build a brighter future.
